What a hectic few days it has been. We are trying to sell the house so we can build a one story home energy efficient home on land we own.
Wednesday of this past week, the realtor showed the house to a wife and her parents. Stayed about an hour and half. Realtor told my wife that they wanted to return that evening with the husband. Came back at 8 p.m. and left at 9:30 p.m. Husband stated he would like to come back on Friday evening to walk the property line. Well, it turned out they came back Thursday.
After all of this the realtor said she would probably be back with an offer. NADA!!
Turns out the husband was concerned about the slope of the lot and would make it difficult to put in a storage shed. A bobcat rental would take care of flattening out an area for which to place a shed.
They also wanted to slow down and check out some other homes. They wanted this home on a level lot.
The realtor told us they would be looking at homes on Saturday comparing what they would get here versus what they could get with another home.
Saturday evening we got a call from the realtor that they wanted to come back on Monday, Labor Day, at 10 a.m.
Well, an offer was given to us this evening. Reasonable offer so now negotiations start about closing cost. Glad this is almost over.
